How We Survived the Plague

It was with a bit of luck that we were able to come out alive after being hit with the plague (aka: the flu that thinks it’s also a gnarly chest cold).  Luckily, we returned to plenty of work from old clients and even a couple new ones (yay us!).  This only happened though, because we came out of this thing alive.

“How’d you do it?”  We’re glad you asked.  To prepare for this potential apocalyptic nightmare, you will need to make sure to have the following items at hand:

  1. Interweb Access – You are sick.  All the more reason to have access to whatever kind of entertainment you want be it TV, movies, news, YouTube, games, or whatever.  The interweb has it all.  And all the better if you have a wireless mouse so you don’t have to get up.
  2. Tylenol or Advil or something that will take the edge off of the fever and the body aches.  And lots of it.
  3. A shotgun.  What?  You think the zombies won’t come just because you have the flu?
  4. Extra blankets.  With a fever comes crazy chills.  And then crazy hot flashes, so make sure you can toss the blankets somewhere where they can be easily reached when the chills come back.
  5. Gatorade.  You will need to be replenished.
  6. Orange Juice.  We recommend Simply Orange.  It comes in both the pulp and the pulp free varieties, contains like 800% of your RDA of vitamin C, and is all natural.  The fact that it is delicious also helps.
  7. A phone.  This is the time when it is okay to call your mother and cry like a baby because you’re sick.
  8. Soup and saltine crackers.  You need your strength if you’re gonna get through it.
