On a beautiful, sunny southern California afternoon in May, Orange County Architect Rolly Pulaski took us on a tour of homes he designed in Newport Beach.
We met at Promelis Market in Costa Mesa, and from there began our day-long architectural adventure.

The first home we visited was that of a young artist and his family who, when remodeling their home, wanted a mid-century modern design. They met Rolly, and were thankful they found the right architect for them!
As Rolly got to know his new clients, they discovered that one of his designs was highlighted in a book on mid-century architecture. More amazing, it was a drawing Rolly created while interning during his college days.
Next we did a drive-by of a couple homes Rolly redesigned.
Rolly redesigned both the exterior and interior of the next home we visited, including the back yard, garden and pool areas.
We then ventured to several more properties Rolly redesigned, before heading to lunch.
We dined at the Newport Harbor Yacht Club, the oldest yacht club in Newport Beach, and one in which Rolly redesigned their entrance hallway and the bar.
After lunch we went to two more locations. One of the most amazing tributes to Rolly's work and his integrity, is that he remains close friends with the majority of his clients.
After a spectacular day of viewing beautiful homes, we headed back to Promelis to part ways. The only thing we wished was different: not having to go back to the office....
